High Five of the Year: Tristan Croft
Our High Five Program was designed to give employees an opportunity to nominate each other for extraordinary acts of service. Each month, two employees are chosen from the nominations and win a $25 gift card. The High Five of the Year Award is given to the employee that was nominated the most times throughout the year. Tristan Croft was nominated an impressive EIGHT TIMES throughout 2024 for consistently putting his team first and going the extra mile to ensure the success of every project.
Bridge Builder Award: Kevin McCall
The Bridge Builder Award honors an employee who excels at fostering strong, collaborative relationships with SSI team members, vendors, clients, or subcontractors. Kevin McCall has demonstrated an exceptional ability to bridge gaps between different teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and better project outcomes.

Man of Steel: Wes Oliver
The Man of Steel Award is given to an exceptional shop employee who exemplifies the core values of craftsmanship, reliability, and leadership. Wes Oliver has set the standard for excellence in his trade, consistently demonstrating unparalleled dedication and skill.
Wes’ commitment to excellence, work ethic, and leadership make him a cornerstone of the SSI team.
F.W Mauldin Legacy Award: Jamee Mattingly
The F.W Mauldin Legacy Award is given in honor of our founder, Farrell Mauldin, to recognize an employee who embodies the core principles on which SSI was built—exceptional craftsmanship, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to service.
Jamee Mattingly exemplifies these values through her outstanding work ethic, passion for excellence, and steadfast dedication to Steel Specialty, Inc. She takes great pride in her contributions, continually striving to uphold the company's mission of delivering high-quality fabricated solutions and serving the construction industry with responsiveness, competence, and open communication.
